Everything happens for a reason. I keep hearing that. Why do people say it? Is it true? Or is it just a poor excuse meant to make us feel better when things don’t work out the way we had hoped?
I guess it’s easier to blame fate or a weird and unfortunate alignment of planets than to actually acknowledge that it was our actions that led to a certain development of things. Less painful.
But then…if we blame anything other than ourselves…doesn’t that mean that we never learn from our mistakes?
Be brave. Take responsibility. Do better next time.

It is true, everything happens for a reason. At least everything meaningful. Good or bad. And it's not for you to have something to blame or to hope for but because this is evolution. Analyzing and drawing your own conclusions from what happens instead of taking it as it is. This enables you to learn, to find reasons, to avoid making the same mistakes...it's a longer discussion...I wrote a few words on the topic...to best summarize it: it's kind of like speaking of your gut. It's not heart related, it's not brain related, it's in between, it's something you can't put your finger on, it's pure instinct, it's raw inside knowledge
